About | Melinda Dora, 35, a life long Rush County resident, passed away October 22, 2013 after a couragious year long battle with cancer. She was born November 22, 1977 in Rushville to Larry & Jean (Hunter) Johnson. Melinda was a 1996 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and received her associates degree in accounting from Indiana Business College. She married Drew Dora on June 26, 1999. She worked for the State Board of Accounts many years as an auditor. She also owned & operated Studio 3 in Rushville. Melinda was a member of the Center Christian Church where she was very active in the Praise Band & Worship Ministry. She also was active in the Rush County Relay for Life. In addition to her parents & husband, Drew, of Rush County, she is survived by a son, Nathan, daughters, Olivia, Sophia & Natalie Dora, all at home, a brother, Brian & wife Brandi Johnson of Rush County and grandmother, Dorothy Hunter of Rushville. Melinda was preceded in death by grandparents, John Hunter and Thomas & Marcella Johnson. Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 26 at Center Christian Church with Pastor Darryl Denney presiding. Friends may visit at the church on Friday, October 25 from 1-8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America or the Center Christian Church. Moster Mortuary, Rushville, entrusted with arrangements. |
