About | Michael Douglas McDaniel, 34, of Venice, Fla., died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Sarasota Hospital in Sarasota, Fla. Born Dec. 17, 1971, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Randal D. and Jenny J. (Lienhoop) McDaniel. Survivors include his parents of Manilla; four children, Patrick, Kelsay, Austin and Avery; one brother, Matthew (wife, Nicole) McDaniel of Manilla; one sister, Michelle (husband, Tom) Richardson of Shelbyville; grandmothers, NeraNadine McDaniel and Wynona Lienhoop; three nephews, Jacob Richardson, Adam Richardson and Austin McDaniel; and fiancee, Jennifer Bass of Venice. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carmony McDaniel and Gene Lienhoop; and great-grandmother, Vivian Gahimer Kney. Mr. McDaniel moved to Venice from Manilla one year ago. He was a co-owner of M&M Pool for one year. He previously was employed at Chrysler Foundry for 11 years. Mr. McDaniel graduated in 1991 from Rushville Consolidated High School. He had been a member of the Manilla Volunteer Fire Department. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robb Barlow officiating. A gathering at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3718 E. Blue Ridge Road, will follow the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, IN. |
