About | Milton Edward "Ed" Jessup, 61, of Rushville, passed away at his home Nov. 16, 2012. Ed was born March 19, 1951 to Arthur W. & Sarah (Houston) Jessup, both deceased. He had lived in Rushville his entire life. He married Arlene Nickel Oct. 30, 2010 and she survives. Ed was a 1969 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. He entered the USAF shortly after graduation and served until July 11, 1976. He was an SSgt in the USAF, serving in Vietman where he was a Munitions Maintenance Specialist. He joined the U.S. Army National Guard in 1985 and retired Jan. 1, 1999 as a Sgt. Ed worked security at several different factories in and around Rushville. He was a life member of Rushville's VFW and was a member of the Eagle's Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Arlene of Rushville, brothers, Joe (Julie) Jessup and Steve Jessup companion Carolyn, all of Rushville, sisters, Denise and husband Richard Cathey of Westport and Alice and husband Joe Dickerson of Rushville, sister-in-law, Carolyn Jessup of Raleigh. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Moster Mortuary, where friends are welcome to visit after 11 a.m. until time of service that same day. Pastor Mick Saunders will preside and burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. The Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard will provide military honors at the mortuary at the conclusion of services. |
