| About | Norman Duff, 65, of Rush County, died Jan. 24, 2009. Born May 25, 1943 in Rushville, he was the son of Delbert and Florence (Wines) Duff, both deceased. He married Vicki VanBibber June 30, 1984; she survives. Mr. Duff lived in Rushville most of his life, though he did reside in Wisconsin from 1983 to 1990. He was a 1961 graduate of Rushville High School. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he enjoyed trips to Tennessee and "putzin" around. He worked at Marsh Supermarkets in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s; at Stop-N-Go in Wisconsin from 1983 to 1990; at Hubler as a service advisor from 1992 to 2004; and at Smith's Collision in Rushville. Survivors in addition to his wife include daughters, Kelly Bateman of Pendleton, Bonnie (Mike) Darland of Indianapolis, Carolyn (Bruce) Laughlin of Fishers and Jenny Dobbins of Indianapolis; step daughters, Tammy Sheet of Richmond and Heather (Brian) Sheehan of Rushville; step son, Brian (Jenny) Gipson of Rushville; brother, Robert Duff of Greensburg; sister, Patty Ficklin of Greenwood; and 15 grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his step father, Frank Mourney. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. Charles Justice officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery and will include a graveside military service conducted by the Rush County Veterans Honor Guard.
