| About | Phillip M. Hornsby, 55, of Milroy, passed away Jan. 1, 2011 at Rush Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles and Frances (Fosler) Hornsby. Mr. Hornsby was a 1973 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. He served in the National Guard for six years. He worked at Rodefeld’s for several years and also had been employed as a manager at Shelby Materials. He was a member, Trustee and Elder at Milroy Christian Church. Survivors include wife, Debbie (Proffitt) Hornsby; sons, Joshua (Jennifer) Hornsby and Brandon Hornsby, both of Milroy; sister, Paulette C. Colin of Tempe, Ariz.; nephew, Kurt; and sister-in-law, Sandy Jolliff (and husband, Don), former wife of Phil’s brother, Kevin. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kevin Hornsby (June 21, 2002). Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Milroy Christian Church with the Rev. Ron Simbro officiating. Burial will be in Milroy’s East Brook Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Burns Funeral Home, Milroy.
