| About | Ricky L. "Rufus" Self Sr., 51, of Rushville, died Sept. 28, 2009. Born Sept. 15, 1958 in Rushville, he was the son of John and Louise (Cochran) Self, both deceased. He married Sheri Yates April 23, 2004; she survives. Mr. Self was a laborer for 15 years at Valeo in Greensburg. He was an avid CB'er; his handle was Little Bear. Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, Ricky Lynn Self Jr. of Napoleon and Darrel Alan Self of Carthage; stepsons, James Michael Eaves and Aaron "Lunchbox" Eaves, both of Rushville; daughters, Crystal (Anthony) Grider of St. Anthony, Wash., Amber Daugherty of Anderson and Samantha Linville of Rushville; brothers, John R. Self Jr. of Connersville and Ronald E. Self of Rushville; sister, Pamela (Bill) Raisor of Rushville; six grandsons and five granddaughters. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Self. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. |
