| About | Robert C. Houchins, 72, a long time Hanover area resident and formerly of Rushville, passed away May 6, 2016 in Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 18, 1943 in Spiceland to Robert L. & Hazel (Trennepohl) Houchins. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Rushville High School. Bob spent many years in the grocery business. He helped to own & operate Houchins Grocery in Rushville and then spent several years as a salesman in grocery supplies. He is survived by his former wife, Sharon Sue (Caldwell) Murphy, a son, Chris Houchins & wife Tammara of Shelbyville, daughters, Kathy Houchins of Avon and Jenny McArthur & husband Luke of Markleville and a brother, David Houchins & wife Mindy of Hope. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit an hour prior to services that morning. Pastor John Wall will preside. Cremation will follow services. |
