About | Robert D. Rogers, 57, of Rushville, passed away May 27, 2010 at Rush Memorial Hospital. Born June 15, 1952 in Rushville, he was the son of Charles F. and Virginia M. (Bailey) Rogers; his mother, a Manilla resident, survives. He married Connie S. Huddleston Aug. 1, 1999; she survives. Mr. Rogers had lived in this area his entire life. He was a tool and die maker at PK USA in Shelbyville for more than 10 years, retiring in 2001. He also was employed as a tool and die maker at Randall Textron of Greensburg for nine years. He was a 1970 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and former member of the Manilla Lions Club. Survivors in addition to his mother and wife include son, Nicholas Holden Rogers of Florida; step son, William J. Degelow of Manilla; step daughters, Pacia (Robert) Galyen of Westport and Amy (Jesse) King of Greensburg; sister, Barbara J. (Nile) Kuhn of Homer; grandchildren, Caleb Ralston, Alexander King and Forrest Galyen. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home in Shelbyville with the Rev. Clyde McCammack officiating. Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riley Children's Hospital. |
