| About | Robert D. Tellas, 48, of Rushville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville. Born July 27, 1953, in Rushville, he was the son of Russell E. and Dorothy Mae (Rowland) Tellas. He married Tami Malone; she survives. Mr. Tellas lived all of his life in Rushville and was a 1972 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. He was a carpenter and a member of the Raleigh Christian Church. Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include one son, David Slonaker of Richmond; one daughter, Amanda Gabbard of Richmond; two brothers, Thomas E. Tellas of Rushville and John A. Tellas of Milroy; one sister, Rachel (Mrs. Raymond) Swigart of Naples, FL.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m Friday at the Raleigh Zion Cemetery, where Tony Augsburger will officiate. Moster & Cox Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
