| About | Robert Lewis Berkemeier, 73, Rushville, died Tuesday at Rush Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Rush County to Louis and Alvina (Kramer) Berkemeier. He married Marilyn L. (Correll) Berkemeier on Feb. 19, 1949, and she survives. Mr. Berkemeier was a feed, grain and machinery dealer for many years. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge and was involved in Rush County 4-H. Mr. Berkemeier graduated from Rushville High School in 1943 and from the Purdue University short course in 1946. Other survivors include a son, Bruce Berkemeier; a daughter, Jane Howard, Noblesville; a brother Donald Berkemeier, Rushville; a sister, Joan Martz, Cincinnati; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with the Rev. Steve Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Morristown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana office of FFA. |
