| About | Ruby M. Mahaffey 80, of Rushville, passed away Dec. 25th at her residence with family at her side. She was born Dec. 14, 1933 in Rush County, the daughter of the late Roscoe & Alice Grace (Montgomery) Young. She married Thomas Mahaffey Feb. 17, 1952 and he survives. They had one daughter Alice Ann Mahaffey of Rushville. Ruby was a 1952 graduate of Rushville High and then became a Medical Technologist. throughout her career, she oversaw the laboratories at Rush Memorial, Major Hospital, Hancock Memorial and Henry County Memorial Hospital. Throughout her career, Ruby assisted with research and implementation of some of the testing machinery use her her job field. She served on the Indiana SHA Council and was a founding member of what is now Shares Inc. She was a member of PSI Iota Xi, American Legion Aux. and 8 & 40. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday December 31st at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory where visitation will be held 4 to 8 PM Monday December 30th. Burial will be at Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery. |
