| About | Ruth B. Cudworth, 96, passed away Dec. 12, 2014 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Rushville. She was born in Rush County on June 23, 1918, the daughter of Laverne Dunn and Amory (Barber) Dunn. Ruth graduated from New Salem School and Purdue University. She earned a teaching degree and taught school at Arlington, Milroy where she was a 1962 class sponsor, and at Rushville. She enjoyed judging at county fairs including Fayette County and the Indiana State Fair. Ruth married Ora George Cudworth on Jan. 26, 1940. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1983. They were parents to two sons, Roy (Patricia) Cudworth, Connersville and Joe (Marilyn) Cudworth, Rushville. Joe passed away on Dec. 14, 2013. Survivers include her son Roy; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, husband Ora and son Joe, she was preceded in death by her brother Maurice Dunn and great grandson Jeffery A. Cudworth. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at Orange Cemetery. Pastor Phil Mitchell will preside. The family requests in lieu of flower donations be made to Lion’s Camp Woodsmoke, 9219 E 640 N, Greensburg, IN 47240-8573 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
