| About | Rushville Republican December 29, 2014 Sara Louise Jinks, 82, a life long Rush County resident, passed away December 23, 2014 in Columbus. She was born April 4, 1932 in Rush County to Chester "Cap" & Gladys (Johnson) Jinks. Sara was a 1949 graduate of New Salem High School. She received her BA from Indiana State and her Masters from Indiana University. She attended Colorado College, the University of Mexico, the University of Dublin, the University of Madrid & Durham University in England. "Jinks" was a retired Art & Spanish teacher. She taught nearly 40 years in Rush County. She is survived by a brother, Max of Colorado Springs, CO, an aunt, Eva LaMott of Richmond & 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Allan. Private burial was held in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery on December 26, 2014. Services were entrusted to Moster Mortuary, Rushville.
