About | Sheila Thompson, 58, of Manilla, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at her residence. She was born July 15, 1957, to Robert Followell and Mildred Vanoy Followell at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She married Jeff "Jippie" Crisman, and he survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mildred Followell of Manilla; children: Angel Thomas and husband, Troy, of Rushville; Stacie Raider of Rushville; and Katie Thompson of Rushville; brothers: Tim Followell and wife, Kerensa, of Rushville; and Wayne Followell of Manilla; five grandchildren, Zane Followell, Dillon Thomas, Tabatha Gurley, Shyann Thomas and Leeann Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in: death by her father, grandmothers, Elnora Vanoy and Mattie Followell; and grandfathers, Ernest Vanoy, and Coakley Followell. Mrs. Thompson was a lifetime resident of the area. She completed a GED. She was a woodworker at The Sampler for 20 years. Mrs. Thompson was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sheila loved animals, especially her cats, Scooby-Doo and Miss Kitty; and her dog, Bailey. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping; but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Thursday at the Manilla Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Shelby County Cancer Association in care of the Funeral home. Although Sheila did not graduate she went to school with the Class of 1975 through her senior year. |
