| About | Stephen L. Jacobs, 56, of Rushville, went home to the Lord Friday, April 17th, 2009 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Stephen was born in Rushville, IN on June 30, 1952, the son of Gladys Mae (Lloyd) Jacobs & Alonzo Jacobs, his father survives. He was the husband of Linda K. (Land) Jacobs whom he married March 31, 1971, she survives. He was a plumber, carpenter and handyman most of his life. He loved to travel and enjoy his grandchildren. He was a member of Family Worship Center in Rushville. In addition to his father and wife, survivors include two sons Greg (wife Sherri) Jacobs and Kevin (wife Amy) Jacobs; two daughters Stephenie Councellor & Jamey Jacobs all of Rushville; brothers Randy & Troy Jacobs both of Rushville; sisters Becky (husband Ronnie) Hunter of Buena Vista & Nancy (husband John) Watson of Idaho; Six grandchildren and One great grandchild also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother and two grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10am Wednesday, April 22nd at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Dr. Dennis Bowman and Rev. Darryl Cooper officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 4 to 8pm at Todd Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at the Madison County Crematory in Anderson.
