| About | Thad F. Mullins, 94, of Rushville, died Feb. 2, 2009. Born Dec. 12, 1914 in Rush County, he was the son of Michael and Carrie White Mullins, both deceased. He married Elizabeth (Bettie) J. Innis July 30, 1940; she preceded him in death April 1, 2006. Mr. Mullins and his wife were co-owners of Neff Shoe Store in downtown Rushville for 38 years. He was a 1934 graduate of Rushville High School. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and a life member of the Knights of Columbus 769, and the Elks Lodge 1307. Survivors include daughters, Susan E. Mullins of Santa Rosa, Calif., M. Carol Matern (Greg) Matern of Pendleton; grandchildren, Travis Matern of Anderson, Jessica Matern of Indianapolis, Nathanael Lazewski of Chino Hills, Calif. and Jennifer Lazewski of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with the Rev. Bill Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville. A prayer service will be held at 3:45 p.m. |
