| About | Thelma Janet (Wainwright) Tsismanakis, 91, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her residence in Franklin. She was born March 15, 1923, in Rushville, to Byron C. and Rebecca May (Cheek) Wainwright. Thelma is survived by two sons, Phil Myers of Indianapolis and Dan Myers of Franklin; a daughter, Jeanne Myers of Idaho; and five grandchildren. Thelma received her bachelor's degree, master's degree and Ph.D. from Indiana University. She touched many lives during her tenure as an elementary education professor at Franklin College. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Private burial will be at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Franklin.
