| About | Timothy Wayne Sowder, 53, of Rushville, passed away at Noon Monday, July 15, 2013 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born November 7, 1959 in Indianapolis to Bill & Wanda (Shelton) Sowder. Tim was a 1978 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School & received his Bachelors' degree in Elementary Ed from Ball State University in 1982. Tim taught elementary education in Rushville at St. Mary's & Mays School and also in Northern Indiana at Howe Military Academy. He had worked the last 20 years as a computer software consultant with Courtland Consulting. He had lived in Arkansas, Tennessee, New Jersey, North Carolina, Indianapolis and most recently, Newark, Delaware, relocating often for the consulting firm he represented. Tim was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Rushville. He was passionate about his family, children and animals! He is survived by his mother, Wanda Sowder, of Rushville, brothers, Ron & Nancy Sowder of Tipp City, OH, Bob & Robin Sowder of Rushville, Mike Sowder of Greenfield, Terry & Tami Sowder of Richwood, OH and Brian Sowder of Rushville, sisters, Karen & Mike Spaeth of Rushville, Karla & David Kuhn of Rushville and Kathy & Kirk Shuppert of Greenfield, several nieces and nephews survive. Tim was preceded in death by his father & a niece, Holli Spaeth. A Memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit at the church from 11AM until time of service on Saturday. Rev. Jan Dimick will preside. Memorial contributions may be made to Rush County Community Assistance (RCCA). |
