About | Walter Ohlrogge Baker, 79, of Rushville, died Saturday, June 16 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor. Born April 4, 1928, he was the son of George and Elsia (Ohlrogge) Baker, both deceased. He married Betty Brown in 1953; she preceded him in death in 1996. He married Frances Mozingo in 1997; she survives. Mr. Baker lived in Rushville most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He worked for Rushville Consolidated High School as a custodian and maintenance worker for 32 years. He attended Hannegan Christian Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Debbie (Mrs. James) Neal of Rushville and Kimberly J. Smith of Salisbury, N.C.; two step daughters, Robin (Mrs. Carl) Busald of Rushville and Linda (Mrs. Chris) Coyle of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Warren Engel officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hannegan Christian Church. |
