| About | The Rushville Republican Mon Jan 16, 2012 RUSHVILLE — William A. Orme I, 83, an Indianapolis resident since 1951, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 in Indianapolis. Bill was born Dec. 4, 1928 in Rushville to Thomas and Viola Yates Orme. He spent his early life in Rushville and was a 1946 graduate of Rushville High School. He married B. June Moore Sept. 3, 1949; she preceded him in death July 9, 1996. Bill was a World War II US Navy veteran. He retired in 1965 from Columbus Ribbon & Carbon where he was a salesman. Bill was an Elder Emeritus at Garfield Christian Church. Survivors include a son, William A. II and wife Julie Orme, and a daughter, Nancy Lynne and husband Steve Dickerson, both of Indianapolis; a sister, Wanda Mae Stevens of Rushville; grandchildren, Nathan Andrew and wife Stacey Orme, Sara Michelle Orme, Alexander James and wife Brandy Dickerson and Evan William Dickerson; and great-grandson, Liam Dickerson. In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth and Tom; and a sister, Martha. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville with Rev. Sam Davenport presiding. Moster Mortuary, Rushville, entrusted with services. |
