About | Mrs. Deanne Arleen Jackson, 68, of Burlington died at 6:07 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Great River Medical Center. Born December 4, 1945 in Jefferson, Iowa, she was the daughter of Quentin Umphrey and Virdie Dean (Mitchell) Houtz. On April 29, 1973 she married Marvin Lee Jackson in Burlington. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1986. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and was a beautician for Dorothea's in West Burlington, worked at I.A.A.P. from 1968 - 1970 and at Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison from 1976 - 1978. Survivors include one son, Aaron (Chrystal) Jackson of Burlington; one stepson, Bradley Jackson of Mount Pleasant; two nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, sister and one niece. The funeral service for Mrs. Jackson will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9th, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Jack Edmisson officiating. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. A memorial has been established. |
