About | James Edward Riddle, 63, of Burlington, died at 12:25 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born April 5, 1947, in Burlington, he was the son of James Edward and Norma Jean Russell Riddle. On January 16, 1981, he married Shari Dianne Edwards in Burlington. Jim worked in machine setup at Champion Spark Plug for 32 years retiring in 2001. He was a 1965 graduate of Danville High School. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and cooking. Survivors include his wife, Shari of Burlington; his mother, Norma Boales of Manilla, IN; one brother, Jessie Riddle of Port Clinton, OH; four sisters, Ruth Whiteside of Port Clinton, OH, Juanita Riddle of Fremont, OH, Thelma Bledsoe of Port Clinton, OH, and Pansy Weaver of Manilla, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, William Riddle. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mr. Riddle will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Bettyanna Bremer officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Great River Hospice House. |
