Preston "Butch" James Ryan, 49, of 632 South 12th Street, died Thursday, June 1, 1995, at Ogden, Utah. Born November 25, 1945, at Eric, PA, he was the son of Leonard Donald and Muriel Marcella Archer Jones. He married Candy Hillyer Helmick August 5, 1968, in Stronghurst, Ill. Mr. Ryan was a truck driver for Liberty Transport of Burlington. He as the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife; two sons Charles Ryan and Corey Ryan, both of Burlington; two grandaughters; two sisters, Stormie Gail Williams of West Burlington and Vicky McCandless of Burlington; one brother, Eric Rhiannon of Rapid City, SD; his stepfather, Donald Jones of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel. Graveside committal service for Mr. Ryan will be 1 pm. Thursday at Burlington Memorial Park with the Rev. Tim Stark officiating. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society. |
