About | BATAVIA — William (Bill) Hunter, 66, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., formally of Batavia, died March 20, 2011, at Broward General Hospital from complications of a heart attack suffered March 4, 2011. He was born July 18, 1944, in Batavia to Edward and Vesta Pumphrey Hunter. He was a 1962 graduate of Cardinal High School and a 1970 graduate of Northeast Missouri College. On Sept. 14, 1962, he married Sherry Schmitter. On Dec. 4, 1981, he married Jeanine Kennedy in Ft. Worth, Texas. His career as a CPA took him to St. Louis, Mo., and on to Ft. Worth, Texas. In 2002 he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and was employed by Henderson Mental Health Services. Surviving are two sons, Michael (Kelli) of Green Bay, Wis., and Timothy of Mt. Pleasant; a granddaughter, Katie Wauters; and two great-grandchildren, Seth and Mya of Green Bay; a sister Shirley (John) Schippers of Ottumwa; and a sister-in-law Judy Hunter of Fairfield. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal. |
