About | In the early hours of September 27th, 2020, Dan Moody, beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 63. He passed unexpectedly in Omaha, NE where he had lived with his wife, Angela, and where they raised their two children, Clint and Tracy. Dan was born in Renton, WA to Ray and Ida. He lived the early years of his life in Kent, WA and later Hamburg, Iowa. In Nebraska City, he met Angela Farris and got married in 1975 before moving to Ames, Iowa to attend Iowa State University. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, but eventually found his lifelong career in computer programming. That career took Dan and Angela all across the country before they finally settled in Omaha. A perpetual jokester, Dan brought light with him wherever he went. He delighted in laughing at his own jokes even if his audience didn’t. Although he often preferred time alone, he loved talking on the phone with his mother and brother and spending time with his wife and children. In his solitary time, Dan wrote science fiction novels and watched countless movies. Dan is preceded in death by his father Ray Moody. He is survived by wife Angela; son Clint; daughter Tracy; mother Ida Brown; brother Paul Moody (Kathy); step-mother Dolores Moody; sister-in-law Dottie Corley (Stan); brothers-in-law: Nile Farris (Mary) and Larry Farris (Treva); nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends. 2 Service Friday, October 02, 2020 1:00PM Marshall Funeral Chapel Nebraska City 1109 First Corso Nebraska City, NE 68410 Wyuka Cemetery 710 South 19th Street Nebraska City, NE 68410 |
