About | ~0bituary~Judy Kay Peyton, 60 years old, of Hazleton, Iowa died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at her home following a short illness. She was born September 19, 1950, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Dorence (Dutch) George Peyton and Clara Bernice (McGuire) Peyton. She graduated from high school in Independence in 1968, and later graduated from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the top her class. Before she was incapacitated by illness, she was a bookkeeper with Cedar Valley United Way in Waterloo, Iowa. Judy volunteered for many of the United Way member organization. Judy is survived by one son, Darren (Kelsey Heffron) Peyton of Hazleton; two grandchildren; two brothers: Harry Richard Peyton of Aurora, Iowa, and Michael Leroy Peyton of Independence; and one sister-in-law, Karen Parkinson of Independence. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. Funeral services held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010, at White Funeral Home in Independence with Pastor Dave Tebbenkamp officiating. Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 16, at the funeral home. Burial in Troy Mills Cemetery in Troy Mills, Iowa. White Funeral Home in Independence, Iowa, with Pastor Dave Tebbenkamp officiating. Casket Bearers will be Mike Peyton, Dade Peyton, Steve Peyton, Brent Peyton, Jeff Peyton, and Brian Peyton.
