About Edward Anson Cunningham was born June 17, 1953 in Nebraska City, Nebraska and died August 24, 1972 in the Grape Memorial Hospital at Hamburg, due to chest injuries suffered in a tractor accident August 22 at Wright's Orchard in Hamburg. Edward was a member of the Hastings United Methodist church and attended Nishna Valley school. He is survived by his mother and step father, John and Betty Hall of Hastings; two sisters, Sandra and Sheryl Cunningham of Hastings and a step brother, John Hall Jr. also of Hastings, Maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hayes, of Hastings. Funeral Services were held at the Mansfield Funeral Home in Malvern on Aug. 27, 1972 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Clarence Woollard officiated. Casket bearers were Terry Smith, Steve Carley, David L. Edie, Toby Campbell, Gerald Vance and Delaine Smith. Mrs. David Edie was at the registry book and Mrs. Vance and Mrs. Campbell cared for the flowers! Music was provided by Mrs! Gary Perkins, organist, playing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "We Are Going Down The Valley." Interment was in the Hastings cemetery. Malvern Leader, September 14, 1972
