About | John Marion Van Dusseldorp, son of Marion and Martha (Hols) Van Dusseldorp, was born on September 30, 1949 in Pella. He passed away on Sunday, November 21, 1999 at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, at the age of 50 years, one month and twenty-two days. John was a life-time resident of Pella. He attended Pella Community High School and later served with the United States Navy. On July 24, 1971 he was united in marriage to Miriam Rivera in Puerto Rico. For twenty-six years John was a truck driver. For the past year and a half, John and Miriam have owned and operated the Pella Motor Inn. John was a member of the Van Veen-Van Hemert American Legion Post in Pella, The Pella Chamber of Commerce, the National Street Rod Association, and the Resurrected Tin Club. John is survived by his wife, Miriam of Pella; tow sons: Robert John and RIchard James Van Dusseldorp, both of Pella. A brother and wife, Dwight and Terri Van Dusseldorp of Pella; three sisters: Carolyn (Jerry) Hummel of Pella, Lora(Dick) Hummel of Crete, Il, and Marlene (John) Gosselink of Pella. |
