About | Lowell Wavern Renaud was born on July 10, 1949, at Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was the first of three children that were born to Glen Arthur and Dorothy June (Elscott) Renaud. Lowell graduated from Pella High School in Pella, Iowa where he was active with the Future Farmers of America. He then attended Indian Hills Community College at Ottumwa, Iowa where he pursued mechanics school. Lowell farmed with his parents north of Leighton, Iowa for many years. Following the death of his parents, his father on September 5, 1990 and his mother on July 7, 1992, Lowell became a resident at the Marion County Care Facility near Knoxville, Iowa in January, 1994. Lowell was very content there and found productivity doing piece work for Vermeer Manufacturing Company and the Pella Corporation at Pella. He enjoyed being a participant at the Knoxville Kiwanis Club. On Monday afternoon, January 31, 2011, he passed away at the age of 61 years. Lowell is survived by his two sisters and their families: Marilyn Kay and her husband, James Newton, of Yuma, Arizona and their four children: Michelle and Keith Sacksteder and their children, Benjamin, Emma and Kiersten, Kelly and Joel Pascoe and their children, Trevor and Abby, Matthew and Tarah Newton and their children, Hailey and Jeremy, Jennifer and Micah Buchanan; Lucille Maxine Owens of Rockford, Illinois,and her three children: Aaron and Sarah Owens ,Melinda and Darin Ludlum and their children, Christopher, Connor, and Andy, Jessica and Cole Goodenow and their daughter, Lucy. Lowell leaves several Uncles and Aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death beside his parents by his maternal grandparents, Guysbert and Rena (Terpstra) Elscott and his paternal grandparents, Paul H. and Lydia (Van Der Pol) Renaud. At an early age Lowell accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour and attended the meeting at 1812 Washington Street in Pella, Iowa. |
