About | DAVENPORT - Funeral services for Pamela C. LaRose Dusenberry, 50, a resident of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4929 Wisconsin Ave., Davenport. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, where military graveside services will be held by the Vietnam Veterans of America Post #299. Visitation will be Thursday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, from 5 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Dusenberry passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, after an extended illness. Pamela Cathaleen LaRose was born in Lompoc, California, on January 12, 1959, the daughter of Clifford E. and Eleanor A. (Cochran) LaRose. She proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. Pam was united in marriage to John Wayne Dusenberry on March 12, 1977, at Our Savior Presbyterian Church in Argo, Iowa. During her life Pam was active in her church, was a Personal Assistant, and became a Computer Tech., owning and operating the former P.C. Medic in Davenport. During childhood she enjoyed living in Texas and Italy while her father was serving in the Air Force. She loved reading, scuba diving and computers, but her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandson, Benjamin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the family or to the Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities. She is survived by her husband, John; their children, a daughter, Patricia "Patty" Dusenberry, Davenport; three sons, Joe (Becky) Dusenberry, Bettendorf, Aaron LaRose, Davenport, and Dakota Dusenberry, of Davenport; her beloved grandson, Benjamin Cann-Dusenberry, Bettendorf; her parents, Clifford and Eleanor LaRose, Eldridge; a sister, Patricia LaRose, Kelso, Washington; as well as a very special friend and caregiver, Pam Cole, of Walcott.
