About | Anthony P. “Tony” Redmond, age 61, of Council Bluffs, passed away September 7, 2016 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Tony was born April 2, 1955 in Atlantic, Iowa. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1973. Tony proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Kristy Bigelow on August 23, 1974. They were blessed with four daughters. Tony was an operator at Cresline Plastic Pipe Co. for 20 years and was currently working for LME Trucking as a dock worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darel and Betty Redmond, Jr.; and brother, Carny Gregory. Tony is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kristy Redmond; daughters, Heather Bortolotti, Heide (Roger) Hite, Holly Redmond, Hope (Jeff) Jones all of Council Bluffs; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Les) Baskerville of Kellogg, Iowa, Kathy (Gary) Bruxvoort of Sheldon, Iowa, Roxanne Sanders; brother, Mike Redmond both of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law, Manelia Gregory of Jacksonville, Florida; nieces and nephews. Funeral service, Saturday, 2 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Military ties will be tendered by the Kanesville Riders Honor Guard.
