About | Roger Allen Felton, 58, of Carson City, NV, lost his courageous battle from complications of Multiple Myeloma on April 2, 2016. He left this world with his wife Betty at his side, surrounded by family, friends and most of all our love. Roger was born on August 10, 1957, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Donald D. and Flora B. (Hildebrandt) Felton. He was a 1975 graduate of Tri-Center Community High School and continued his education at Iowa Western Community College in Electronics. He spent his early years growing up on the family Angus farm in Neola and was involved in 4-H, church, and the Junior Angus Association. Roger was very handy and inventive and could fix or build just about anything. He loved motorcycles and was on many forums where he diagnosed problems for other enthusiasts. Roger spent most of his adult years in the Los Angeles, CA area. An accomplished hang glider pilot, he continues to have many friends from that time of his life in Southern California. Roger eventually moved on to flying sail planes and relocated to Carson City, NV the summer of 2004 where he worked for Mallory/Mr. Gasket. He ended his work career at Durabond Bearings in Carson City. Roger is survived by his wife, Betty Felton of Carson City, NV; father Donald Felton of Neola, IA; brother Randy Felton, wife Lorri and their daughter Alyse of La Habra, CA; sister Cindi Sherman and Stephen Tompkins of Westminster, CO and Cindi’s son Andrew Sherman (fiancé Lindsey & great nephew Ryder) of Neola, IA; and brother Rick Felton of Neola, IA. Roger also leaves behind stepsons Steven McComb, wife Nicole and their daughter Cortney of Adrain, MI; Matthew Comprix, wife Michelle and daughters Jasmine, Kasandra and Madeline of Portland, OR and many other relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his mother Flora B. Felton and his first wife Peggy (Griggs) Felton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger’s name to Washoe Lake State Park Gifts and Grants General Account, 4855 Eastlake Blvd., Washoe Valley, NV 89704, or envelopes will be available at the service.
