| About | Age-75 Elizabeth Jane Jones passed away at home Sunday, May 24, 2026 from cancer. She had been diagnosed less than a month before her passing. Jane lived her final years with sister Barb Jones Carte and her husband Kevin at their rural home West of Parnell. Jane enjoyed her daily view of nature-thank you Barb! Jane was born in Keokuk, Iowa to parents Owen and Juanita(Pritchard) Jones. She was a beloved member of our class-always a smile and a story to share. After graduation Jane lived in Williamsburg-working at the Amana Factory and starting in 2002-worked at Williamsburg Foods in the deli department until her retirement in 2016. She loved any fair-Iowa County, Iowa State Fair. Jane couldn't understand why anyone wouldn't want to be at the Fair-the best place in the world !! She also enjoyed parades, fireworks, helping with chores around the farm, spending time with family and most of all her cat Snow Bunny Jones. E. Jane is survived by siblings-Don, Richard, Roger, Larry (Williamsburg), Kenny of Parnell, Russell and Barb of Williamsburg. The family attended the First Presbyterian church in Williamsburg. The church's pastor said he will miss seeing Jane in "her pew". She was laid to rest in the Pilot Grove Cemetery in rural Williamsburg. The family requested those who attended the service to wear lavender or pink. Many attendees wore Jane's beloved PURPLE. Jane's siblings always watched over her-the Jones Family way.
