About | Hope Louise Heller, 18, formerly of Chapman, was killed in a two-automobile accident 1.5 miles south of Sayre, Oklahoma on U.S. Route 66 along with 3 passengers when her car was struck from behind by a pickup truck. She had graduated from high school just under 4 months prior to the accident. Hope was born on April 22, 1964 in Wilmington, Ohio. She graduated with the Chapman High School class of 1982. Surviving are her parents, Charles Heller of Fort Riley and Judith Heller of Junction City; four brothers, William Heller of Salina, Robert J. Heller of Bethany College in Lindsborg, Barry C. Heller with the U.S. Navy in the state of Washington, and Richard C. Heller of Fort Riley; and one sister, Christina B. Heller of Fort Riley. The funeral was at 1:30 pm Monday, September 20, 1982 at the Londeen Funeral Chapel in Chapman. Burial was in the Indian Hill Cemetery. |
