John C. Jackson Obituary

Graduation Year Class of 1973
Date of Passing Sep 02, 2012
About To know him, was to love him...What was there not to love about John. He was an avid Sportsman. Loved his Basketball, Football, Golf, Nascar, Rodeo, Baseball, Pool, Poker...if it was any sport he could tell you statistics of any Player, Coach or Team from High School to Professional leagues. I always told him he missed his calling as a Sports Reporter. After he graduated he worked in the Oil fields during the "Oil Boom." Then branched out to being a Pipefitter and traveled through out the States. John finally decided he was tired of living out of a suitcase and returned home where he was a Bartender at The Wagon Wheel, a place his Father "Swede" once owned. John and I married and he went to work for G.W. County Road and Bridge until he became to ill to work. He was an awesome Dad to 2 little girls, 2 boys and adored his grandchildren. John left this Earth and traveled to his Heavenly Home, where he is united with his daughter and parents. John was an awesome husband to me and his tender heart and smile is truly missed. John was an active member in The Eureka Lions Club for several years and enjoyed serving his home town. God Speed.....Tami J. Hart-Jackson.
