Latisha Sharese Cherry, 27, of Topeka, Kan., transitioned into the Kingdom of God on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at her home. Latisha was born Oct. 21, 1979, in Independence, Kan. She was raised in both Virginia and Kansas. She attended Cooper Elementary School, Lindsey Middle School, Hampton High School and graduated from Independence High School in Kansas. She leaves to cherish her memories, her precious daughter, Taiasia Ezreaonne Jamison; her parents, Donnel Sr. and Angela Cherry of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Janese Cherry-Carter (Joseph) of Seaside, Calif.; one brother, Donnel Cherry Jr. of Hampton, Va.; one nephew, Johahn Carter; grandparents, Mr. Thornton Shelton Sr. of Independence, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. James Cherry Jr. of Hampton, Va.; one great-grandmother, Barbara Shelton of Denver, Colo.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Mercy and Truth Ministries, 9911 Jefferson Ave., Newport News.
