Kevin was life flighted to KU Medical Center after suffering an aortic dissection on Oct. 8, 2025 while rowing on Lake Shawnee. After several surgeries and various complications he finally started getting back to himself. He was at KU Medical Center for several weeks then moved to Select Specialty Hospital in KC, KS. After a couple weeks there he was released to Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital in Topeka. He was making a slow recovery until the week of Christmas when he had surgery for an abdominal infection. He did not regain consciousness after surgery and passed away on January 1, 2026. |
