| About | Nancy Jane (Hohner) Cotter, known as Jane, was born in Stafford, KS on January 1st, 1944, and died on February 2, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. Jane graduated from Ottawa High School in 1962. She graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1993. There she was a member of Alpha Chi, National College Honor Scholarship Society, and a life member of the Panhandle State University Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Gladys (Byer) Hohner of Waverly, KS. She leaves behind the light of her life, her daughter Gretchen Cook and son-in-law Steven Cook of Portland, OR. Her interests in life were her daughter, a thirst for knowledge, and the Hohner Ranch (originally known as the O’Leary Ranch) purchased by her father in 1955. She operated and managed the Ranch from 1999 until her death in 2024. At her request, her ashes will be spread at the Hohner Ranch. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
