| About | John Louis Poznich, "Little John", 49, of Austin, Tx, formerly of Weir, KS died Friday, December 18, 2015. John was born June 3, 1966 in Columbus, Ks to Johnnie and Betty (Pierson) Poznich. He attended Weir Grade School and graduated from Southeast High School with the class of 1984. Starting in 1984 John served his country in the United States Army 1st Infantry Division. He was part of the Ft. Riley Reforger (Return of Forces to Germany). He was honorably discharged in 1987. March 15, 1991 he married Robin Shay Sisk in Austin, Tx. He went on to earn his B.S., Management/Computer Information Systems from Park University in 2008 while working full time and helping to support his family. He was very respected in his line of work in the technology field. John and Shay had two sons, Christopher and Ryan. They were the light of his life and he was so proud of their accomplishments. John was a good father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He had a great love for, and always went out of his way to stay connected with, his extended family. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his sons, Christopher and Ryan Poznich, and his wife Shay of Austin, Tx. Mother, Betty Scheller, of Wahiawa, Hi. Sisters Denise Poznich of Panama City Beach, Fl.; Fawn and Susan Poznich of Highlands, Tx. Brothers William Poznich and wife Chantel of Deer Park, Tx.; Eric Garrett and wife Delia of Houston, Tx.; David Garrett and wife Sarah of Scammon, Ks. Lucille Sisk of Grandville, Tx. He also leaves behind 9 nephews, 5 nieces, 4 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces whom he loved very much. |
