About | Carrie (Wagaman) Harned Carrie (Wagaman) Harned, 47, of Lansing, Michigan died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at her home. She was born in Topeka to the late Roy and Ora Wagaman, April 16, 1961. Carrie graduated from Topeka West High School in 1979. She played basketball at Cloud County Community College before going on to receive a BA from Washburn University in 1983. She then taught high school and coached girls' sports. She married Daniel Harned in 1986 and moved to Michigan in 1990. Carrie home schooled her daughters and coached their basketball teams. Her faith and love of fitness led her to become an instructor for Body & Soul Aerobics. In October 2008, Carrie was inducted into the Topeka West High School Athletic Hall of Fame for her many accomplishments in basketball and volleyball. Carrie is survived by her husband Dan and two children, Haley and Erin. A brother Michael Wagaman, Brookings, Oregon, sister Donna Miller, brother-in-law Tim, and nephew Ian, Asbury, New Jersey, also survive her. A service celebrating Carrie's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17 at University Reformed Church, 4930 S. Hagadorn Rd., East Lansing, Michigan.
