About | Iralyn Virginia Fears Blosser, 69, mother, grandmother, aunt, teacher, speech/language pathologist in Davis County Schools for 23 years, died Aug. 22 in Bountiful after battling lung cancer, though she never smoked or was even around smokers. Born Oct. 15, 1938, to Ira Fears and Ruby Bowling Fears in Princeton, Kentucky where she spent her youth. Family members were the only Mormons she knew growing up. Caldwell County High School Junior Class President, Valedictorian. earned bachelor's, master's degrees from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN in speech/language pathology. Felt the Lord directed her education, when daughter, Janie, lost hearing at 13 months. Married Bob Blosser, Sept. 26, 1962, Logan LDS Temple. Lived in Utah since then. Divorced, 1983. Always enrolling in classes, taking her children and later grandchildren to participate in every learning situation available. Dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, had many callings, worked 17 years in Scouting. Survived by the great joys of her life, her five children: Richard, Farmington; Jane (Brad) Schulthies, Bountiful; David and Stephen, Ogden; and Michael, Bountiful, and 9 grandchildren; brother, Robert (Peggy), Hopkinsville, KY, 10 nieces and nephews. |
