| About | John Edward Sparks, 31, of Vanceburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995, in Portsmouth, Ohio. John was born May 15, 1964, at Greenup, a son of Fuel Sparks of Ironton, Ohio, and Hazel Ferguson Sparks of Greenup. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Polley Sparks; a son, John Sparks Jr., of Wheelersburg, Ohio; a daughter, Tiffeny Sparks of Wheelersburg; four brothers, Fuel Sparks Jr. of Portsmouth, Andy Sparks of Baltimore, MD., and James Ferguson and Richard Sparks, both of Greenup; and three sisters, Anna Young of Chillicothe, OH, and Ruby Spencer and Lois Tucker, both of South Shore, KY. The funeral was conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 27, 1995, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg by the Rev. Worth Stanfield. Burial was in Collier Memorial Gardens at South Portsmouth. |
