About | manda Lee Hood of Bowling Green, passed away on September 12, 2021 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was 47 years young. Preceded in death by her grandparents Helen & Fred Lundy, Audrey & Woodford Lee, Amanda is survived by her daughter Shelby Leigh Hood; her mother Debbie Keown; her sisters Christy Lee Martin (Matthew) and Jennifer Lee; nieces & nephews Bradyn Martin, Dylan (Tiffany) Martin and their children Parker Grace and Annabella Rose; as well as many other loved family and friends. Amanda battled Cancer and Leukemia for 6 years, beating it twice before it returned a third time. She was a very strong and courageous woman. Amanda graduated from Greenwood High School in 1992. She loved to sing, going to Rock-N-Roll concerts and visiting the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. Amanda was a big fan of the Fall season, Halloween and scary movies. She was a spitfire and will be remembered as a fun, charismatic person by all that knew her. Visitation will be held on Monday September 20, 2021 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and again on Tuesday Sept. 21 from 11:00am until time of service. Chapel service to begin at 1:00pm on Tues. all at J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel, 832 Broadway Ave., Bowling Green. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green.
