Burton Joseph Banta III, a resident of Albany, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 42 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious service will be at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Deacon Warren Fortenberry. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Swinyer Banta, Albany; a daughter, Emily Lynn Banta, Albany; a son, Burton Joseph Banta IV, Albany; mother, Mary Schulte Banta, Baptist; a sister, Patricia Banta Williams, Livingston; and a brother, George L. Banta, Zachary. He was preceded in death by his father, Burton Joseph Banta Jr.; and grandparents, Burton J. and Edith Briggs Banta and George and Anna Belle Schulte. He was an electrician and a member of Local 995, Baton Rouge. |
