George Gibson was the epitome of greateness when he played running back for the Trojan football team and ran on State award-winning Trojan track teams. He was mercurial, fast and powerful, and could have been one of the greatest NFL running backs of all time if not for injuries. WIth all of the 100 yard games, 50 yard runs, and great legs on sprint relays... it was his infectious smile that made him stand out most in the minds of his teammates. Trojan opponents, however, will remember his dogged determination to score every time he touched the ball and his unyielding desire to will the Trojans to victory. |
