Catherine passed away at Houlton Regional Hospital, after a long period of declining health. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1959. She received her masters' degrees from Rutgers University and University of Manitoba. Catherine taught at both the high school and college level in Pennsylvania and Brooklyn, N.Y, as well as high school in North Brunswick, N.J. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Pisarek-Sawyer of Houlton; three grandsons; her brother, Scott Brown; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins. |
