| About | She was raised on a family farm located on the Calais Road. She and her husband of 58 years, Vernon "Rusty" were married in November 1950. The family lived in Orient for many years, where she served as town treasurer before moving to Houlton in 1968. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano and cooking. She is survived by three sons, sons, Michael V., Patrick R. and Dennis J.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; two sisters, Ruth Nickerson and Dorothy Fitzpatrick; a brother, James Earl Haley. She was predeceased by her parents, James Robert Haley and Mary (White) Haley; her husband, Vernon; a sister, Eleanor Becker. |
