She died as the result of an automobile accident. She was the adopted daughter of Harry and Molly (Shaw) Brown. Following graduation from HHS she attended Ricker College then graduated from Salem College in West Virginia. Janice went to work for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services in child protection services, then 18 years in adoption services until her untimely death. Surviving are her parents, Molly (Shaw) and Chester Bailey of Houlton; aunts; uncles; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Harry Brown. |
