He attended Wentworth College, Boston, and Husson University, Bangor. Joel retired from Lane Construction Co., where he worked for more than 30 years as the senior mechanical supervisor in their Bangor office. He loved the muscle cars of the 1960s and enjoyed spending time at East Grand Lake with family and friends. Joel is survived by his brother, Mac and his wife, Marion, of Sidney; nephew, Shane W. McLaughlin; niece, Ashlee L. McLaughlin; two great-nephews; aunt, Jean W. Terry. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Donald A. and Ethel W. McLaughlin; and his nephew, Ryan C. McLaughlin. |
