About | Lawrence Brown, 55, died unexpectedly at a Brunswick hospital. He was born Feb 9, 1947in York, the son of Lawrence F and Ruth (Duquette) Brown.Larry attended Houlton High School where he set a record for track. He also attended Ricker College.. He was in the Army and served in Vietnam 1967-69. He owned and operated Brown Trucking for 30 years and was a member of the International Union of operating Engineers, Local #4. Most recently was working with Stone and Webster as a heavy equipment operator at Maine Yankee. Larry was a well known 'character' and will be missed by his fellow Canadian truckers. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, both of Glenburn, are Stephanie Brown of Biddeford and Holly Plemons and husband,.Greg of Hollis, and their mother,Sally Robinson of Saco, one grandson, Jascob Lawrence Plemons of Hollis,4 brothers, Herbert and his wife Diane of Parsonsfield, Michael Brown and hiswife Celia of Houlton, Doug Brown and his wife Sherry of Benton, and Glen Brown of Parsonsville, one sister SHaron Delong and her husband Gene of Houlton, several neices, nephews, aunts and uncles.
